The School Day

Reception:
 
Morning session 9.00am - 12.00pm
Afternoon session 1.00pm - 3.05pm

Key Stage 1:
 
Morning session 9.00am - 12.15pm
Afternoon session 1.15pm - 3.10pm

Key Stage 2:

Morning session 9.00am - 12.15pm
Afternoon session 1.15pm - 3.15pm

At the end of the school day, children are taken to the playground to be collected.

A Day in the life of a KS1 pupil
 
 
Some children arrive for the school day at 8.40am for morning groups. All other children arrive at 9.00am for the register.

Throughout the day children participate in whole class learning, group work and independent activities. They enjoy a snack time part way through the morning followed daily story time lessons to support their reading.

At 12:00 noon the children go over to the canteen to eat their school dinner and have a play on the playground with their friends.

After dinner the children take part in a maths lessons to develop their maths fluency and reasoning skills.

Children the have the opportunity to explore indoor and outdoor activities liked to their curriculum.

At the end of the day children enjoy carpet time together before the day ends at 3:20pm.
 
 

A Day in the life of KS2 pupil
 

Some children arrive for the school day at 8.40am for morning groups. All other children arrive at 9.00am for the register.

In the morning session, children take part in English and Maths lessons.

At mid morning they have a break time and all children are offered a piece a fruit.

After lunch, the afternoon session begins from 1.15pm where children take part in many subjects throughout the week including; History, Science, Geography, Music, RE, PE, Art, DT.

There is an assembly at 3:00pm each day followed by children getting ready to go home at 3:20pm.

There are many after school clubs available for children.
